Customizable materials

Material selection plays an important role in sprocket strength, wear resistance and service life. We provide different material options based on chain load, operating conditions and application requirements.

If you require other special materials or specific material standards, pleasecontact us.

Material Options

Sprocket Materials

Customizable materials
  • Carbon Steel

Carbon steel sprockets provide a practical solution for general industrial chain drive applications, offering good machinability and balanced performance.

  • Alloy Steel

Alloy steel sprockets are suitable for higher load applications where improved strength, toughness and wear resistance are required.

  • Stainless Steel

Stainless steel sprockets are commonly selected for applications requiring corrosion resistance and reliable performance in demanding environments.

  • Cast Steel

Cast steel sprockets can be considered for heavy-duty applications requiring robust structures and high load capability.

  • Heat-Treated Steel

Heat-treated steel options improve tooth durability and wear resistance for applications with frequent operation or higher loading conditions.

  • Special Materials

Special material solutions can be reviewed according to specific application requirements, drawings and customer standards.

Customizable Heat treatment

Most gears need to undergo heat treatment after processing. Heat treatment processes can increase the surface hardness of gears, enhance wear resistance and service life; at the same time, it can optimize the internal structure of gears, improve toughness and load-bearing strength, and reduce deformation.
Carburizing heat treatment

Carburizing heat treatment

Case hardening is a process which involves adding a hard, protective shell to the outside of an otherwise soft steel. This process allows for intricately shaped metals to possess a strength and toughness that they otherwise wouldn't be able to possess.

Nitriding heat treatment

Nitriding heat treatment

The nitriding process takes place at lower temperatures than carburizing treatment, which makes it very suitable in the construction of gears to limit the deformation during the heat treatment process. Increase the surface hardness of the steel, improving its resistance to fatigue and wear.

High-frequency quenching treatment

High-frequency quenching treatment

The high-frequency quenching gear is characterized in that the core has high strength and high impact toughness after high-frequency quenching, tooth surface has high hardness and high abrasion resistance, and the high-frequency quenching gear can pass a 720-hour fatigue test.

Friendly Reminder

  • Mismatched gears:Using mismatched gears may lead to incorrect transmission ratios, resulting in reduced vehicle performance or damage to the transmission system.
  • Improper installation:If the new gear is installed incorrectly, it may cause abnormal gear wear, noise, or transmission system failure.
  • Failure to clean and lubricate:If the inside of the gearbox is not cleaned during replacement, or the new gear is not properly lubricated, friction and wear will increase and the life of the gear will be reduced.
  • Failure to perform testing and adjustment:If proper testing and adjustment are not performed after replacement, it may cause the gear to operate abnormally, cause abnormal noise, vibration, or transmission system failure.
  • Loose or over-tight installation:If the gears are not tightened properly during installation, the gears may become loose or be installed too tight, affecting the normal operation of the transmission system or even damaging other components.
  • Failure to address the underlying problem:Replacing the gears may be part of the solution to the drivetrain problem, but if the underlying issue that caused the damaged gears is not addressed, the problem may reoccur.
  • It is recommended to use gears provided by the same supplier in the same gearbox
  • Under normal working conditions, if there is a problem within our warranty period(six months), we can replace it for free.
